The main elements in Jackules' works are water and geometry - as in the smallest artwork of the CHAPO project, which is spread over two walls at the entrance of the Goethe-Gymnasium. "Water as an element of life is particularly in focus in our time of environmental pollution," says Jackules. Athletes in particular need a lot of water and Jackules is therefore building a bridge to the basketball court inside the Goethe Gymnasium through his artwork. The theme of basketball is also taken up by the icosahedron, which is in the middle of the painting. It is designed in the colour orange to match the basketball.
Jackules - whose real name is David Harwardt - was born in 1983 and grew up in Kassel. He has already been working professionally as an artist for 15 years and designs large-scale façade artworks in various cities.
