At a central location on the Weserspitze, the two wall designs "Day and Night" and "Open Water" by ARMAH bring an overwhelming colour rush to the Wesertor district. The two artworks stand at right angles to each other and depict expressive and abstract explosions of colour, with smaller lettering and, as a central component, a portal made of dots, stars and crosses on each. The artistic motif of the portals figuratively connects the residential buildings with each other and is thus a
promotion for cooperation instead of opposition.
Nii-Armah Hammond was born in Berlin in 1986 and subsequently spent large parts of his childhood and youth in Kassel. Here he gained his first experience as a performance and street artist, as which he is still active today. He currently lives in Hamburg.
