various sights
This rainbow-coloured mural adorns a house façade in Ludwigstraße. It is based on Plato's Quadirivium, which consists of the four classical liberal arts of arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy.
The mural by Kassel artist Jackules is based on Plato's Quadrivium, consisting of the four classical liberal arts: arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy. In the past, art and science were still closely connected. But not only the teachings of Greek antiquity are incorporated here. The Hindu/Buddhist chakra system can also be found in the painting.

The artist has made similarities between these ancient cultures visible. Many details such as the spectral colours in the background, the golden section or yin and yang are hidden in the painting. If you look closely, you can see the shape of our DNA in the whirlpool of elements. Numbers also appear in the work. The number seven, for example, has a special meaning here. Seven tones and seven chakras. The snake also coils seven times around the staff of Asclepius, the Greek god of healing. The animals were not chosen at random by the artist. The artist explains why they have their place there and further details about the painting on his website.
