A philosophical thought experiment about time is the starting point for this large mural by Jackules. Stephen Hawking's famous goldfish in a jar features in it. The fish thinks the distorted world behind its glass prison is reality. Could humans also free themselves from the corset of time and see the world with different eyes? A little boy shows how it's done. He simply unscrews the hands of a clock: completely immersed in the here and now. And while he stirs the water, the goldfish jumps out of the glass on the left. Both float weightlessly in space - as if fallen out of time. They come together again and unite in the artist's orange graffiti signature.
Such elaborate concept walls are called mural in street art jargon. Kassel artist Jackules aka David Schmidt designed this wall for the homeowner in 2018.
