This work by Won ABC was already created in Windhukstraße in 2017. It represents a counterpoint to hatred, racism and discrimination.
The Ganesha by WON ABC was created in collaboration with KolorCubes in October 2017 for the refugee accommodation "Forstfeld 36". There, the façade was spray-painted with a swastika and racist lettering and a stick figure hanging from a gallows.

The people in charge of the refugee project and the owners of the property then decided to deal with the threats in a special way: Instead of merely painting over the signs and thus concealing the existence of right-wing extremist tendencies, the threats were confronted with a positive alternative with the help of an artistic position.

For this purpose, KolorCubes developed the design concept for the design "The Key to Peace" together with the internationally successful Munich graffiti artist WON ABC: The destructive and hateful symbols were to be contrasted with a cosmopolitan and constructive alternative by referring to the original meaning of the swastika - as a Hindu sign for joy, light and life. Thus it becomes a sign of togetherness and plurality.

The artwork belongs to the project "Public Art Gallery" by KolorCubes.
