A colorful panorama through the changing seasons
Surrounded by a water lily pond, a 16-metre-high hill rises up in the Karlsaue State Park on the southern edge of the park. In spring, daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and even the first rhododendrons bloom here on three different levels. Thanks to the seasonal play of colors of the leaves, the seasonally changing flower plantings and the view over the surrounding water areas, the island always offers you a unique panorama from spring to autumn.
