Admission is free, the shore is freely accessible at all times. The area around the Buga lake is a popular destination for excursions for the whole region. In summer, the focus is on bathing fun. The lake is a natural body of water in which you can swim at your own risk and on your own responsibility in the areas approved for this purpose. Warning signs and display cases around the lake inform swimmers of the dangers of bathing in natural waters; the rules of conduct listed there have been agreed with the DLRG. In addition to the sandy beaches, which are particularly suitable for families with children, there is a separate area for naturists on the south-western shore.
