Immerse yourself in the history of the earth - in a time 250 million years ago, when the Hanseatic city of Korbach was still by the sea. Experience the oldest fossil fissure in Europe!

Learn about the oldest ancestors of mammals and dinosaurs. Learn how vertebrates managed to colonize the whole planet under water, on land and in the air. We will also show you the importance of limestone for the development of the city of Korbach.

The tour starts at the information pavilion in the quarry and ends in the neighboring GeoFoyer Kalkturm Korbach.
