The one about plants is one with them

Lois Weinberger planted ruderal plants in the bed of a disused railway track: undemanding plants that settle on fallow land and are carelessly called "weeds". The artist carefully designed a place that he left to its own devices. Native and non-native species coexist here.

The plants are not rated according to their beauty or usefulness. Instead, Weinberger questions such attributions and thus also the idea of the controllability of nature. In this sensitive way, the treatment of foreigners, territories and the nationalisms of our time is addressed.
