Neue Mühle hydroelectric power station / Energy Technology Museum

museum
The "Neue Mühle" hydroelectric power station on the Fulda has been in existence for almost 600 years. Next to the power station, a small museum displays fully preserved machines from the past and present and thus impressively demonstrates the development of the water and energy industry in Kassel. Closed until further notice.
Regenerative energy generation through the ages

The "Neue Mühle" on the Fulda was first mentioned in a document in 1443 and the historic foundation stone for Kassel's electricity and water supply was laid here in 1890. Today, the museum of the same name shows the past and present of Kassel's water, electricity and gas supply. And the fully preserved machines provide an impressive insight into the development of the water and energy industry.
