KolorCubes created the oversized peace sign at the Hephata Diakonie in 2017 with brushes and paint and added to it in 2018 with spray cans.
The mural was commissioned by the Hephata Diakonie, which runs a residential home for orphaned children and young people who have fled. Together with the residents and KolorCubes, a wall in the inner courtyard was painted first. In the design, the children and young people artistically dealt with the aspects of peace, home and integration.
In order to aesthetically complement the façade, many playful characters and objects then followed in 2018. In addition to the comic characters, tags such as "Unity" or "Love" can also be discovered, marking the house as a safe haven and peaceful place of cohesion.
The artwork is part of the project "Public Art Gallery" by KolorCubes.
