From the park path along the Küchengraben, David Harding's poetic path turns onto the grounds of the art academy.
Desire lines of a lover
In English, the poetic expression "desire lines" is used to describe trails. As unplanned connecting lines, they appear almost by themselves. Scottish artist David Harding discovered one such path at art college and had it covered with slabs. The bronze inscription quotes the love poem "Cascando" (1936) by Samuel Beckett: "If you do not love me I shall not be loved / If I do not love you I shall not love." / "If you do not love me I shall not be loved / If I do not love you I shall not love." A counterpart in English and Greek was created in Rizari Park in Athens.
