The Berlin artist Yongtak Choi studied in Seoul and Kassel and thus has a special connection to the documenta city. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Joseph Beuys' birth in 2021, he realised a photorealistic artwork of the action artist at the Arnold-Bode-Schule.
The large-scale realisation of the artwork on the wall of the school building in the Schillerviertel enables the viewers to literally meet the artist Beuys at eye level. The project was realised with funding from the "Socially Integrative City of Rothenditmold" programme in cooperation with the Arnold Bode School for Crafts, Technology and Design and with the kind support of the housing construction company Krieger & Schramm.
