Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is located on the western edge of the city. The water games take place here every Wednesday and Sunday, as well as on Hessian public holidays. On this page you will find all the information you need for a relaxed journey to and from the park.

You can reach the Bergpark from two sides: The lower area with Wilhelmshöhe Palace and the end of the trick fountains or the upper area with Hercules and the beginning of the trick fountains.

Whether you travel by car or by public transport, it is advisable to decide in advance which area you would like to visit. Please note that the Bergpark is car-free and can only be experienced on foot. Between the castle plateau and the Hercules Monument you will climb over 200 metres. The walk takes about 1.5 hours and leads along paved paths and stairs. The stairway of the baroque cascades does not have a fixed railing. Sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather are recommended.
