Wall picture photo motel

The Foto-Motel in Kassel at Wolfhager Straße 53 was the largest brothel in Kassel a long time ago, until Elfi and Pitze Eckart, veterans of Kassel's cultural scene, bought the building at auction. They converted it into a cultural venue for art, photography, communication and experimentation. Guests from all over the world can stay overnight in the midst of studio spaces and vintage furniture and get to know the Schiller Quarter and Kassel.

The KolorCubes e.V. art project, which is also based in the Schillerviertel, organized a cultural project week on district development in July 2024. As part of this, five walls in the district were painted, one of them by Stefan Gebhardt from KolorCubes on the unconventional motel. The design consists of the name abbreviation "On" written several times in succession.
