This forum for contemporary art has existed at the KulturBahnhof since 1995 on the initiative of the Kunsthochschule Kassel. It was initiated by the Kunsthochschule Kassel. The project is organised and curated by students.
Through Stellwerk, young artists are given a platform where they can gain exhibition experience and meet art enthusiasts. In addition, the curatorial team invites established artists to realise their own exhibitions in the rooms. The opportunity to enter into a dialogue with the exhibitors on site makes the Stellwerk in the Kulturbahnhof an attractive contact point for art enthusiasts from Kassel and beyond.
The "Stellwerk Glass Pavilion" is the temporary offspace of the "Stellwerk" exhibition space in the Kulturbahnhof. During documenta fifteen, the glass pavilion hosts art exhibitions, interventions, concerts and other events.
