Due to the total renovation of the Salzmann building, the association had to leave its traditional rooms in Sandershäuser Straße in 2012. Since then, events have been held in the replacement venue at Kupferhammer in Leipziger Straße 407. With the Bettenhausen Network, founded in 2017, another field of work was established. Since 2016, the association has offered transcultural music work with refugees in the east of Kassel.
Since 2009, the association has been involved in the programme of the North Hessian Days of Industrial Culture "Blauer Sonntag" with events around the Salzmannfabrik. Networking activities in the districts (at the site) in the city of Kassel, in the state of Hesse and at federal level form an essential part of the association's work. The association is a member of LAKS Hessen and LKB Hessen. Numerous guest performances by supra-regional music or theatre groups make up the diversity of the programme. The cultural office and venue are currently located on the grounds of the Kupferhammer. In addition, the association plays other cultural venues in the east of Kassel. The start of operations of a new venue in the district is planned for 2023.
