Sandershaus

event location/venue
The Sandershaus community project brings people together - regardless of whether they live in Kassel or are just passing through. A café bar, seminar rooms, workshops, rehearsal rooms and accommodation for refugees are all under one roof. There are also regular concerts in the event rooms.
The Sandershaus in the Bettenhausen district of Kassel sees itself as an international, open-minded and creative place that offers space for everything that needs space. Here, visitors can experience culture, but also celebrate, work and be creative themselves.

Regular concerts and other events such as open meetings or joint jam sessions take place in and around the Sandershaus. The musical spectrum of concerts is broad - from rock, punk and hardcore to singer/songwriters, jazz and world music to house music. In total, over 300 events from various socio-cultural areas are organized every year.

There are also seminar rooms, workshops, rehearsal rooms and shared accommodation for refugees under the roof. In the open workshop, professionals are on hand with advice and tools so that everyone can realize their projects. Electrical, electronic and mechanical devices are put under the microscope at the monthly Repair Café.
