event location/venue
The Sandershaus community project brings people together - whether they live in Kassel or are just passing through. A café bar, seminar rooms, workshops, rehearsal rooms and accommodation for refugees are all under one roof. In addition, there are regular concerts in the event rooms.
The Sandershaus in the Bettenhausen district of Kassel sees itself as an international, open-minded and creative place that offers space for everything that needs space. Here, visitors can experience culture, but also eat, celebrate, do handicrafts and be creative themselves.

In and around the Sandershaus, regular concerts and other events such as game nights, open meetings or joint jam sessions take place. The musical spectrum of the concerts is wide - from rock, punk and hardcore to singer/songwriter, jazz and world music to house. A total of over 300 events from various socio-cultural fields are organised every year.

In addition, a restaurant, seminar rooms, workshops, rehearsal rooms and shared accommodation for refugees are located under the roof. In the Open Workshop, professionals are on hand with advice and tools so that everyone can realise their projects. Electrical, electronic or mechanical devices are put under the microscope at the monthly Repair Café.
