In the GARDEN ROUTE, 23 different projects have joined forces under the motto "Historic Building + Garden Area + Art and Culture" and form a network from Hatzfeld (Eder) to Niederurff, from Rohden to Marburg an der Lahn.

The gardens are generally small private initiatives with various thematic focuses, accessible at all times, and providing space for exhibitions, music evenings, children's events, theater, readings, markets, or simply tranquility.

The gardens in our holiday region Ederbergland include the herb garden at the former St. Georgenberg Monastery in Frankenberg (Eder), the Baroque garden at Neuburg in Battenberg (Eder), the church herb garden in Battenberg (Eder)-Frohnhausen, and the Schneitelwald at the ruins of Hatzfeld Castle (Eder).

On the website of the Garden Route, you can find current information about each location, an overview map, event announcements, and much more.
