Facade painting without title
In 2018, the stairs to the platforms at Kassel Wilhelmshöhe station were artistically designed. For this, the Kassel artist Jackules designed his first work on the Platonic solids and their five elements. Four of these three-dimensional basic forms and four colours, stand opposite each other in a complementary way. The platonic bodies result in pairs that interpenetrate each other. In each of the four paintings, a clock can be seen with its hands pointing to the centre of the dial. The passenger now looks at this before boarding the train.
The once grey stairwells were in desperate need of a colour scheme. Now we find vibrant wall surfaces in four bright colours - red, orange, green and blue. Due to their different colours, all stairwells have their own individual mood, which also serves as orientation in the station. The gentle colour gradients and soft shapes counteract the hectic hustle and bustle in the station.
