A large comic-style hidden object picture has been spreading across the façade of the house on Schillerstraße since 2017. The city is bursting at the seams, every centimetre is occupied. In the densely populated city, everyone is looking for their place. Everyone wants to be the first. New ideas are absorbed and copied. Sometimes things get rough. Idea theft lurks around every corner. A thief saves his Brain Burger from the pursuers. The street art style sells well. Advertising, fashion, luxury brands and city tourism have also recognised this. The line to piracy is sometimes narrow.
WENU Crew stands for We & You. The four artists live in Hong Kong and Berlin. They met in Shanghai in 2010 while designing the German pavilion at the World EXPO. Since then, they have participated in street art projects in China, Indonesia and Germany. To unite the different styles, they decided on a drawing in black and white for the wall.
The artwork is part of the project "Public Art Gallery" by KolorCubes.
The hidden object is also included in the audio tour "Streetart in Kassel" on izi.Travel. The tour was made possible by the cdw Foundation.
