  • A play at the carnival—is that even possible?

  • Yes, a play at the carnival is possible—and how!

The Kassel State Theater invites you to a summer spectacle loosely based on William Shakespeare. To mark the relaunch of its drama department, the ensemble whisks you away to Shakespeare’s legendary Enchanted Forest, where the rules of everyday life are turned on their head. The tradition of fairground theater is coming to life in a new and unexpected way. The entire fairgrounds serve as both stage and exhibition space: the moment you walk through the gates, you become part of the attraction.
