Homage to the Electoral Fountain Inspector Karl Steinhöfer

The Steinhöfer Waterfall from 1793 was named after the "architect" of the Water Arts, Karl Steinhöfer. It is part of the water system supplying the romantic water arts, which include the Devil's Bridge, the Aqueduct and the Great Fountain.

To channel the water of the Drusel into the central part of the park, a paved and cascaded watercourse was built on this slope. The effect was so impressive that another magnificent landscape painting was created here to stage the elemental force of water.

The waterfall represents a quarry that had to be abandoned due to water ingress and is now being reclaimed by nature. During the staging, it is gradually overflowed by the water, which inexorably stretches across the entire slope.
