Once again this year, large crowds are expected at the North Hessian folk festival, and guests from near and far will join residents of Kassel—whether they call themselves Kasseler, Kasselaner, or Kasselän—in celebrating the parades and letting themselves be swept up in the colorful festivities along the banks of the Fulda.
