The Fascination of Water Features—Every Year from May 1 to October 3
For over 300 years, the water features have operated on the same principle. By harnessing the laws of physics alone—and without the use of pumps—the water flows from the foot of Hercules to the castle pond. Through careful planning and staging, the elemental power of water is masterfully brought to life. The Landgraves of Hesse-Kassel used this spectacle to underscore their absolutist claims to power.
