"Erdmann or Fakeman? A dachshund coat put to the test" and "With a sharp pen - writing utensils and writing through the ages" are the names of the two special presentations, which can be seen in parallel until April 12, 2026.

Special exhibition until May 3, 2026

The exhibition on the history of writing focuses on around 30 historical "writing instruments". The presentation invites you to discover writing utensils as a central component of the cultural history of writing. You will be surprised by the variety of shapes and decorations. The exhibition is also dedicated to the early modern art of pen writing as well as the manufacture of ink and the production of handmade paper. And do you actually know how a goose feather is turned into a writing instrument?
