Museum treasures from heavyweight to tiny are presented in the Technik-Museum Kassel on 3000 square metres in the former halls of the Henschel-Werk II in Rothenditmold. The exhibition spans a unique arc over more than 300 years of Kassel's technical history.
In 1706, the demonstration of Denis Papin's steam pump marks the beginning of 300 years of technical history in northern Hesse. In the following decades, an industrial location developed where locomotives and trams, but also the smallest precision instruments were developed and produced. Today, pioneering high-tech innovations are researched and worked on here.
