"The medieval model village of Steinrode is open to spontaneous visitors one Sunday a month from March to October 2023. All other uses are only possible by prior booking. For more details, please see our website (www.steinrode.de).

The buildings - church, kitchen, smithy, wood workshop, potter's workshop, servant's house and the large reeve's house - in the medieval model village of Steinrode are arranged around the village square. From the watchtower you can see everything. Here, children and young people can playfully be transported back to the everyday life of yesteryear.

The model village is not a museum, but a special place of learning where pupils can understand history, experience sustainability and learn about natural cycles, where they directly experience that raw materials are not infinite, and where they try out how many different ways renewable raw materials can be used. Located in the middle of the forest, there are plenty of opportunities for experiences with and in nature.

The sponsor is the Association for Environmental Education and Forest Education at Schools, Libellula."
