To be read to is a real gift. You feel safe and loved because another person takes the trouble to bring a story to life." These words come from Julian Janssen. As Checker Julian, he explains the world to you - at the 3rd Children's Book Days he opens the literature festival on 6 September.
For four days you can once again immerse yourself in the world of stories and also get creative yourself. There are dangerous dogs and kidnapped circus animals, farting ponies and talking pictures. The programme includes classical readings, picture book cinema, a comic workshop and a reading with music.
