Here the feet get a real free run. There are more than 30 stations to walk through on the approximately one-and-a-half-kilometer-long circular trail. But there are also other things to discover: What does it smell like here? What do I feel here? What can I hear in the forest? Which fur, which voice, which track belongs to which animal and how could a polar bear get lost here? The highlight, especially for the younger visitors, is the mud stairs. Whoever stays clean here has lost!
Plan to spend about two hours visiting the barefoot trail, bring a small towel and, especially for younger children, a change of clothes. The barefoot trail is freely accessible during daylight hours between about mid-April and mid-October. For its visit, we ask for a small voluntary donation for the entertainment.
The exit to the barefoot path is conspicuously signposted from the country road between Vockerode and Schwalbenthal. There are additional parking spaces in two parking lots here. The barefoot path is accessible from here via an approximately 900-meter-long, trail-like adventure path with several adventure stations that is not suitable for strollers.
Open depending on the weather approximately from the beginning of the Hessian Easter vacations to the end of the Hessian autumn vacations.
