In the midst of botanical diversity, the Environment and Garden Office invites you twice a year to the Plant Exchange. Those who love plants or garden privately have the opportunity to exchange plants that no longer have a place in their own home and garden or to purchase other plants for a donation.
The Plant Exchange, which last took place at the beginning of October 2022, has meanwhile established itself as a fixed event for private hobby gardeners and plant lovers. It takes place twice a year. For the autumn event, the Environment and Garden Office invites you to the Botanical Garden.

At the "marketplace", plants that no longer have a place in your own home and garden can be donated or new plant favourites can be purchased. Regional nurseries, tree nurseries, hobby gardeners and potters complement the offer and provide an insight into the diverse pleasures of gardening.

In addition, there is also a mushroom consultation: Visitors can bring their collected mushrooms and ask Jörn Hödtke, mushroom advisor of the city of Kassel and mushroom expert of the district, for his judgement. He will also be happy to accept them as display material for those interested.

The associations active in the Botanic Garden, the Cactus Friends 'Friedrich Ritter', the Society of Friends of Perennials - Regional Group Kassel and the Friends of the Botanic Garden will again be represented with stands.

The German Orchid Society and the Hessian Garden Academy will also be there again. And the "Plant Doctor" of the Hessian Garden Academy will be on hand to advise you on any questions you may have.

Catering will be provided with coffee and cake, snack dishes and cold drinks. Admission is free.
