Arolsen Residence Palace: The Versailles of Waldecker Land

The three-wing complex, which Prince Friedrich Anton Ulrich had planned by his master builder Julius Rothweil, was intended as a Baroque "magnificent building" with its ornamentation of the facades and decorations of the interiors to emphasize the claims to the hereditary title of prince. Guided tours are offered through the historically furnished rooms. The tour of the armory and Alhambra is done with information folders.
