Concert reading: "Erich Kästner and his time"
"Die Neuen 3", an ensemble from Lower Saxony, has taken the 50th anniversary of Erich Kästner's death in 2024 as an opportunity to take a closer look at this outstanding writer. Poems and texts that shed light on his biography and bring it back to life, as well as songs by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, Paul Graener, Rudolf Wagner-Regeny and Paul Dessau, trace the human development of this "poet of small freedom" (Marcel Reich-Ranicki) and the musical spirit of the time.
