Born in Neubrandenburg in 1972, the freelance artist, who is recognized by the University of Pforzheim, has been working in Düsseldorf since 2003 and in her Witzenhausen studio since 2011. She studied art education, completed a hotel apprenticeship and worked as an executive assistant in Germany's largest privately run hotel chain and the associated architectural office. After the birth of her daughter, she decided to pursue art full-time.
Beilke's contemporary art is a powerful mix of saturated, high-contrast color chords, urban flair and expressive compositions. Her works sparkle with energy, dynamism and vibrant hues that immediately captivate the viewer. She combines clean lines, strong contrasts and clear colors to create compositions that tell entire stories.
In her paintings, she elevates the mundane to art - very much in the spirit of Pop Art. She abstracts, changes, creates, aestheticizes and creates new contexts of meaning that inspire viewers to reflect and discover something new again and again. Whether a single zoomed-in pictorial element or a variety that appears in countless layers, Katja Beilke's visual worlds are unique!
However, she does not limit herself to the studio: as a street artist and in art on buildings, she gives facades, walls and gates a new face. To date, she has been responsible for creating over 400 square meters of street art. Working with young talents and other artists to bring art into public spaces is particularly important to her.
In addition, Katja Beilke is co-founder of SCHÖN.-Kunst in der Box, an innovative art concept that brings together academic artists and creative self-taught artists. For her, this networking is a key to the art world, bringing visibility and artistic exchange: "Art thrives on dialog. Those who are visible are noticed - and that's exactly what the art market needs".
The exhibition shows works from various phases of the artist's career - from earlier works to her latest creations. Anyone who loves art, wants to be inspired or simply learn more about this extraordinary artist should not miss this event.
Admission is free! All those interested in art are cordially invited!
