shopping mall/shopping street
The Treppenstraße - one of the first pedestrian streets in Germany - is about 300 metres long and bridges a height of 15 metres. These are divided by Italian-style large flowerbeds. Various shops and cafés line the street and invite you to stroll and linger.
One of the first pedestrian zones in Germany

The Treppenstraße is undoubtedly one of the highlights of Kassel's reconstruction after the Second World War, as it was a unique street in this form in the Federal Republic of Germany, reserved exclusively for pedestrian traffic.
