Handel is sent on
journeys with the rolling Georg, the mobile Handel Festival stage. The Handel Festival is sustainably on the road in a large, blue electric lorry, taking it out of the city and into the region. Enjoy a colourful and exciting musical programme, free of charge and outdoors, perhaps just around the corner. This year, the Echo Klassik award-winning Trio Lézard will be touring with Handel. And these three are always good for a surprise. The classical woodwind or reed trio, the so-called "Trio d'anches", celebrated its heyday in Paris in the 1930s. In addition to the traditional instrumentation of oboe, clarinet and bassoon, the Trio Lézard also uses curious historical predecessors and related instruments, such as the double-reed counterpart to the saxophone, called the sarrussophone.
Any questions? - No problem. Because the artists themselves will guide you through the programme with lots of
exciting information and plenty of humour.
