On this guided tour, you will encounter contemporary witnesses at every turn who prove that Kassel has always been - and still is - a city of art and culture. The brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm collected their famous fairy tales here. The documenta, founded in 1955 by Arnold Bode, is considered the world's most important large-scale exhibition of contemporary art and takes place every five years.
